Mitchell Photography is proud to be a family owned and operated small business in Bowling Green, Kentucky.

James Mitchell has been in the photography business for approximately twenty years. 

With an eye for intricate detail, Mr. Mitchell not only takes impressive portraits, but specializes in editing and perfecting photographs prior to printing. Adept with technical skills and equipment management, James Mitchell has spent decades learning, acquiring the necessary tools, and perfecting his craft as a photographer. 

Although he has experienced a variety of occupations throughout his lifetime, his love of photography has always led him back to the lens. 

A dedicated family man, James Mitchell is a proud father, loyal husband, and a pillar in his community.

Wendi Mitchell has always been a creative soul and thrives on interacting with others. 

Prior to partnering with Mr. Mitchell, Wendi spent the majority of her time writing in a wide variety of genres--including poetry, non-fiction articles, and stories for children. 

Aside from writing, Wendi has always had a strong inclination toward business and is quite pleased having nestled into her role in the photography studio. 

Wendi has enjoyed building her own knowledge base in photography and delights in the creative aspects such as posing, set designs, specialty products and in working on the company website, specials and promotions, marketing, and networking.

We have been in the photography business for more than twenty years and are absolutely in love with what we do. We offer professional studio photography featuring family portraits, maternity, babies, toddlers, children, couples (including engagement photos), senior portraits, and more.

Mitchell Photography also offers outdoor photography at the location of your choice. We do not currently have an outdoor location of our own to offer, but we have worked well at Basil Griffin Park, Mammoth Cave, Nolan Lake, and other outdoor locations in Bowling Green and its surrounding areas. Choose your favorite spot; we'll meet you there! Meanwhile, we'll keep our eyes out for a nice piece of property that will lend itself to spectacular outdoor settings.

We are happy to accommodate special events on location such as family reunions, awards ceremonies, sports tournaments, weddings, anniversary celebrations, and other special events. Mitchell Photography also produces high quality composite pictures for higher education, sports teams, company team members, and more.

Mitchell Photography offers a multitude of enhancements, special effects, editorial, and printing services as well as specialty products such as greeting cards, custom announcements and invitations, handbags and wallets, and more.

At Mitchell Photography, we pride ourselves on the relationships we build with our customers. We do not do boudoir pictures or glamour shots.
